ForkYes!ForkNo! ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the ForkYes!ForkNo! mobile application ("the App").

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Account information — name, email address, and profile photo when you create an account
Dish entries — dish names, restaurant names, verdicts, notes, and photos you log
Sharing group information — group names and members you invite

Information Collected Automatically

Device information — device type, operating system, and app version
Usage data — features used and interactions within the App, to improve the experience

Location Data

Location access is optional and used only to:

Show nearby restaurants when logging a dish
Display a banner when you are near a restaurant you have visited

Location data is stored with your dish entries only when you explicitly tag a dish with your location. We do not track your location continuously or in the background.

Photos

Photos you attach to dish entries are stored in Firebase Storage and are accessible only to you and members of sharing groups you have added them to. You can delete photos at any time by editing or deleting the dish entry.

Sharing Groups

When you create or join a sharing group:

Your display name and profile photo are visible to other group members
Dishes you mark as shared are visible to all members of that group
Your personal dish history (unshared dishes) remains private

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Children's Privacy

ForkYes!ForkNo! is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Export your dish history (available in the app via Account → Export my data)
Delete your account and all associated data
Opt out of non-essential communications

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google Firebase — authentication, database, storage (Privacy Policy)
Google Places API — nearby restaurant search (Privacy Policy)
Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In — authentication (Google / Apple)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
